Leaving London

The big dream was to move to London and work in theatre. Check and check. But now the dream has changed and I have left DW Towers. It was a fantastic send off and I am going to hugely miss everyone I have worked with over the last 3 years. The party was awesome...Can't believe I only just lost bowling to Kilo 123 - 135! and then I was far too drunk to come anywhere near that again - either that or the pins really did double up and move to the left every time I threw my ball....  Karaoke was awesome also I particularly embarrassed myself by solo dancing free-style to All That Jazz (hmmm - I am worried there may be a video of this somewhere....) Anyway, a great night all round and I was very sad when it was over. I'll miss that crazy lot loads!

And for all those worried about my hangover whilst moving - it was not pretty and I almost directed us back to Bristol rather than Cheshire on the way home, just noticed when we got to Oxford....ooops.

The house is now painted in white, as am I mostly but today I get to pack for travels! Yay! Only 4 days until we leave (or is it 3 if you don't count today and the day we travel?)

Still Packing

So FINALLY we have completed on our house! I am now a home owner! My home is currently in an uninhabitable state that needs weeks of work to be done to it but all the same I own bricks! We have been packing for 5 days straight, ready for our departure from London in 2 days and still have piles of stuff requiring boxes but rather than sort that out Duncan and I have made a plan for the resorts we are going to visit in Fiji. It is hard to choose between white sandy beach after white sandy beach but these tough decisions have to be made... I have also figured out that we leave Crewe at 6am on 25th September and will arrive at our first destination at 1pm on 27th September... erm what? Keep thinking of the white beach, white beach, white beach ... (fade into dream)

Nearly Gone

So we are nearly ready to give it all up. After years of studying (Duncan not me) and a few years of hard work climbing the career ladder we have decided, 'screw it - this is all getting a bit too serious let's just quit our recently promoted jobs and set off around the world'. Great! Well it was fabulous in the planning.. lists and lists and lists. Most of which are now ticked off, just a small one that isn't.. the house we sensibly decided to buy before going (so we have rental income right?!) well, that is STILL not exchanged (which is the part before the long completition process) and we are only in the country for another 3 weeks!!! Cripes! oh yeah, and the house is in a bit of a state so needs work doing to it before we go.....

So in 3 weeks the planned list goes as follows, leave job, complete house purchase, decorate and renovate, leave country. Nice.
